Greetings all! I’m very excited to be heading out to the 2016 RWA National Conference in San Diego this week with my friend and writing partner Deb. I haven’t done any traveling for a while, so we’re planning to walk, shop, and eat for a couple of days before the conference starts. T-shirts for everyone in the family are on the shopping list!

I’ve been to business conferences before, but there’s something special about a writing conference, especially one where the people are so passionate (pun unavoidable!) about their work. I’m looking forward to listening to great advice from authors I’ve read, authors I’ve never heard of, and complete strangers in the elevator or goody-room line. If previous experience holds up, my brain-sponge will be full to overflowing by the end of it all. Can’t wait!
